The Shelf of Inspiration was born out of the delightful chaos of my kids treasure collections. Determined to corral the rocks, pinecones and acorns left scattered across the kitchen table into something both practical and beautiful, I crafted a clay shelf that captured the essence of childhood exploration. What started as a solution to clutter quickly blossomed into a business and The Minimalist Ceramist was born in 2022. For two years, I lovingly handcrafted each shelf from clay until, in 2024, I introduced my cement line. Using silicone molds of my original designs, I hand pour art-grade cement colored with powdered pigments to create modern curio shelves for the tiny treasure collector in all of us.
